Description
Emily Howard's Antisphere, for orchestra, sonically guides the listener on a 17-minute apocalyptic journey around the mathematical shape after which the piece is named. Described by The Times as “sensual – yet diffuse”, the piece makes extensive use of percussion (5 players) and was commissioned by the Barbican Centre for the London Symphony Orchestra and Sir Simon Rattle. Antisphere forms part of an orchestral trilogy with sphere (EP73343) and Torus (EP73341).
