About the Composer: Tyler S. Grant

Tyler S. Grant has built a reputation as a composer whose music appears consistently on honor ensemble programs and publishers' recommended repertoire lists worldwide. His fanfare Panoramic Fanfare won the Dallas Wind Symphony's 2014 competition and has since been performed by professional and collegiate ensembles across North America, with performances at The Midwest Clinic, Carnegie Hall, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Since 2010, Grant has maintained a steady output of commissions and new publications for bands and orchestras, while also serving as a clinician for over 100 school programs across more than 15 states. A graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in instrumental music education, he studied conducting with Randall Coleman and credits mentor Brian Balmages as central to his development as a composer. Beyond composing, Grant regularly conducts at all-state festivals and has contributed to Alfred Music's Sound Innovations series.
