About the Composer: Douglas E. Wagner

Douglas E. Wagner grew up in Chicago and studied music at Butler University, earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees. He spent three decades in high school music education before committing fully to composition, a decision that has yielded over 3,500 published works across nearly every ensemble type: choirs, concert bands, orchestras, handbells, organ, piano, and vocal music.

Since 1973, Wagner's output has reached millions of musicians. His compositions appear regularly in concert halls, broadcasts, and festival programs worldwide. He currently lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Sandy.
