Vince Gassi has published more than 100 compositions and arrangements since joining Alfred Music in 2006, establishing himself as a prolific voice in music education. His background spans a Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Ontario, advanced study in composition and arranging at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles, and a Ph.D. from York University in Toronto. He has spent twenty-five years teaching instrumental music at elementary and secondary levels.

Gassi's reputation extends across North America, Europe, and Japan through frequent guest conducting, adjudication, and clinic work. His seminars on creative engagement and digital workflows for music directors reflect his commitment to both teaching and learning innovation. His compositions appear regularly on international concert and contest programs, and his work has been featured at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago.
