Description

Scott Price

Scott Price holds the position of Professor of Piano and Piano Pedagogy at the University of South Carolina School of Music, where he also coordinates the piano pedagogy program. He leads the Board of Trustees at the Frances Clark Center for Keyboard Pedagogy and has established himself as a national voice in adaptive music instruction, particularly in teaching piano to students with special needs. His work has reached audiences across North America and Asia through solo recitals, workshops, and conference presentations.

Price's scholarly contributions include founding and editing the online journal Piano Pedagogy Forum, for which he received the 2008 MTNA Frances Clark Keyboard Pedagogy Award. He has recorded 39 educational piano albums for Alfred Publishing and maintains an active publication record with both Alfred and FJH Music Company. His Carolina LifeSong Initiative continues his commitment to expanding access to piano instruction and fostering excellence in teacher training.
