About the Arranger: Sally K. Albrecht
Sally K. Albrecht has shaped American choral music for over four decades as a composer, arranger, conductor, and educator. Her catalog spans more than 600 published works, along with 75 full-length musicals and songbooks that fill choir libraries across schools and churches. She has conducted honor choirs at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and The Kennedy Center, and spent over 30 years directing choral and vocal publications for major educational music publishers, most recently Alfred Music. An annual ASCAP Special Music Award recipient since 1987, she is particularly recognized for her innovative integration of movement with choral performance.
Albrecht holds degrees from Rollins College (B.A. in Music and Theater, 1976) and the University of Miami (M.A. in Drama, 1977; M.M. in Accompanying, 1979). She has taught at Oakland University, Jersey City State College, and Meredith College. In recognition of her contributions to music education and institutional leadership, she received the Distinguished Alumna Award from both the University of Miami Frost School of Music and Rollins College in 2021. She served as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society and earned their "Pillar of Leadership" award.
