Vince Gassi holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Ontario and studied composition and arranging at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles. He earned his Ph.D. in music from York University in Toronto. Over a quarter century of classroom experience at the elementary and secondary levels informs every piece he writes.
With more than 100 published works to his name, Gassi has become a trusted voice in the concert band repertoire since joining Alfred Music in 2006. His compositions balance accessibility with musical substance, earning regular performances at major festivals and clinics including the Midwest Clinic in Chicago.
