J. Paul Williams

J. Paul Williams studied voice at Oklahoma Baptist University and earned his master's degree in theory and composition from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Over his career, he developed an extraordinary catalog of 700 titles across school and church markets, working with 25 different publishers and collaborating with more than 50 composers as a lyricist. His music reached congregations and choirs worldwide and appeared regularly at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California.

Before devoting himself fully to lyric writing and clinics in 1992, Williams spent 35 years as a Minister of Music, serving churches across Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas. He led reading sessions and workshops from the West Coast to Washington, D.C., and into Canada, building deep relationships with music educators and directors throughout his career.
