About the Composer: Tyler S. Grant
Tyler S. Grant has established himself as a prolific voice in concert band and orchestral composition, with his works regularly appearing on honor ensemble programs and receiving recognition from major publishers and festivals worldwide. His Panoramic Fanfare won the Dallas Wind Symphony's 2014 "Call for Fanfares" Competition and has since reached collegiate and professional audiences across North America. Since 2010, he has maintained a steady output of commissions and new publications while conducting clinics in over 15 states.
Grant studied instrumental music education and conducting at the University of Alabama under Professor Randall Coleman, crediting composer Brian Balmages as a significant mentor in his development. His music has been performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, The Midwest Clinic, the Meyerson Symphony Center, and Music for All's National Concert Band Festival. Beyond composing and arranging, he remains active as a clinician and conductor, and has contributed to instructional materials for Alfred Music's Sound Innovations series.
