Chris Sharp holds a doctorate in music and has built a career balancing composition, orchestration, and education. His eleven years as a performing trombonist and band leader at Walt Disney World gave him deep insight into what works on stage, and that practical sensibility shows in his writing for young ensembles. Since 1984, he has orchestrated music for Disney parks worldwide and written for clients ranging from Universal Studios to the Boston Pops, while maintaining an active teaching presence at the college level.

At Polk State College, Dr. Sharp directs the bands program and teaches music theory, technology, and arranging. He regularly clinics and adjudicates for organizations like Bands of America and Drum Corps International, and his compositions and arrangements appear frequently at the Midwest Clinic. His work has earned multiple ASCAP Plus awards, reflecting both the quality and reach of his output.
