About the Arranger: Richard L. Saucedo
Richard L. Saucedo spent 31 years at Carmel High School in Indiana, where he built one of the nation's most decorated band programs. His ensembles earned multiple state and national titles, and the Carmel Wind Symphony I appeared at the Music for All National Concert Band Festival three times while claiming the Indiana State Championship in 2013. The Carmel Marching Greyhounds dominated the Bands of America circuit for nearly two decades, capturing national championships in 2005 and 2012.
Beyond his teaching legacy, Saucedo has established himself as a prolific arranger and composer working across multiple genres. He served as brass arranger for the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps during five DCI world championship runs and currently coordinates music for the Blue Devils. His work has earned him recognition as Indiana's Bandmaster of the Year (1998-99), induction into both the Music for All Hall of Fame and the Drum Corps International Hall of Fame, and election to the American Bandmasters Association. He remains active as a Senior Educational Consultant for Music for All and Bands of America.
