Pepper Choplin

Pepper Choplin brings formal training from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a master's degree in composition from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary to a career that spans far beyond the concert hall. His versatility shows in work across musical genres, from rock to classical to bluegrass, and in roles ranging from church musician to theme park entertainer. He has composed more than two hundred anthems and seven choral musicals, many of them born directly from the worship needs of his own congregation at Greystone Baptist Church in Raleigh, where he serves as Minister of Music.

Choplin conducts and performs throughout the country as a clinician and composer, drawing audiences into moments of both laughter and reflection. His recordings include the self-produced "Pepper Is My Real Name" (featuring his humorous songs) and "Hold On" (a collection of his most popular inspirational works).
