About the Composer: Andy Beck
Andy Beck directs choral publications at Alfred Music and has composed and arranged over 450 choral works now in circulation. His output spans secular and sacred repertoire, children's musicals, and pedagogical resources including the widely adopted choral sight-singing curricula Sing at First Sight and Foundations in Choral Sight Singing. Beyond the page, Beck maintains an active career as guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator for honor choirs and all-state ensembles across the United States, and performs as a tenor with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir.
Beck holds degrees in Music Education from Ithaca College and Northwest Missouri State University. His dual focus on composition and pedagogy shapes everything he publishes; his writing consistently prioritizes singability without sacrificing musical substance. He has been a studio recording artist for Alfred Music since 1992.
