Trinidad Blue Basin is a traditional calypso tune celebrating the beauty of the island of Trinidad. The island features such breathtaking scenery as the Blue Basin Falls which includes a waterfall and surrounding pool in the Diego Martin river area located in northwest Trinidad. The Blue Basin Falls are approximately nine miles from the heart and soul of steel drumming and the calypso beat in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

About the Arranger: Lisa Rogers
Lisa Rogers directs the steel drum program at Texas Tech University, where she teaches applied percussion and conducts ensembles including the Texas Tech Steel Drum Band, Apocalypso Now. She holds a DMA in percussion performance from the University of Oklahoma and completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at Texas State University and Texas Tech.
Rogers has shaped percussion pedagogy nationally as a Past President of the Percussive Arts Society and currently serves as Executive Director of the National Conference on Percussion Pedagogy. She contributes as Associate Research Editor for Percussive Notes and holds the position of Principal Timpanist with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra.
