About the Composer: Vince Gassi

Vince Gassi holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Ontario and studied composition and arranging at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles. He earned his Ph.D. in composition from York University in Toronto. His catalog includes over 100 published works spanning multiple genres and ensemble types.

Gassi has spent twenty-five years teaching instrumental music at elementary and secondary levels and maintains an active schedule as a guest conductor, adjudicator, and clinician across the United States and Canada. He leads workshops on creative engagement and digital workflows for music directors. His compositions appear regularly on festival and contest programs internationally and have been performed throughout North America, Europe, and Japan, with frequent performances at the Midwest Clinic.
