Emily Crocker

Emily Crocker spent 15 years teaching music across all grade levels in Texas public schools before transitioning into publishing. At Hal Leonard, she shaped choral music education for nearly three decades, ultimately serving as VP of Choral Publications before retiring in 2017. Her work extended beyond the office through founding and directing the Milwaukee Children's Choir from 1994 to 2009, followed by the Vocal Arts Academy of Milwaukee from 2009 to 2015.

As a composer and arranger, Crocker has built an international reputation for creating accessible yet musically substantial choral works. Her contributions to choral pedagogy have influenced how generations of students encounter repertoire. She now composes and advocates for the arts from her home in Fort Worth, Texas.
