About the Composer: Joseph M. Martin
Joseph M. Martin studied piano performance at Furman University and later earned his master's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he also taught in the Piano Pedagogy Department for five years. His career spans both the concert hall and the church; he has performed solo recitals across the United States and Mexico, appeared with symphony orchestras including the Guadalajara Symphony, and won the Nina Plant Wideman Competition. Today Martin divides his time between composing and performing in worship settings and for church music conferences, bringing the same versatility to his arrangements that has made his work recognizable in venues from Carnegie Hall to hundreds of congregations across North America.
