Beyond the printed page, Lantz remains an active musician, serving as church choir director and performing as a bassist and vocalist in pop and jazz settings. He shares his musical life with his wife, composer Marti Lunn Lantz, and their five musically engaged children ranging from early teens to young adults in northeastern Pennsylvania.
