Melody Bober is a composer and educator whose writing centers on creating music that builds understanding alongside enjoyment. She earned a bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Arts in piano performance from Minnesota State University, Moorhead, studying with respected mentors including Joel Shapiro and Andrew Froelich for piano, Mary Hoffman for music education, and Tony Caramia for jazz.

Bober brings two decades of public school teaching, university instruction, and private studio work to her compositions and pedagogical materials. Active as a church pianist, accompanist, and music director, she has become a sought-after clinician and workshop presenter for piano teachers across North America. She lives in Minnesota.
