Bernadine Johnson

Bernadine Johnson earned her B.A. in Music Education from Indiana Wesleyan University and has spent her career teaching piano students across all ages and ability levels from her studio in Fremont, Michigan. Her work as an adjudicator for the Michigan State Band & Orchestra Association and clinician at Indiana Wesleyan's Piano Pedagogy Conference reflects her deep investment in music education. She has served as faculty at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and maintains active memberships in the Grand Rapids Piano Teacher's Forum, Michigan Music Teacher's Association, and Newaygo County Piano Teacher's Group, earning the Newaygo County Cultural Programs Award in 1999.

Johnson's publications span both collaborative and solo work. She co-authored innovative Alfred publications including A Night at the Ballet and A Night at the Opera, and has composed numerous piano solos and the suite Scenes from The Nutcracker.
