About the Composer: Douglas Akey
Douglas Akey earned his degrees in instrumental music and solo performance from Arizona State University, where he received a performance scholarship. Since 1987, he has led the band program at Hendrix Junior High School in Chandler, Arizona, serving as both Director of Bands and Music Department Chairperson while teaching in the Phoenix area.
