Joseph M. Martin studied piano performance at Furman University and earned his master's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he later taught in the Piano Pedagogy Department for five years. A accomplished solo recitalist and symphonic collaborator, he has performed across the United States and Mexico, including a nationally broadcast recital and an appearance with the Guadalajara Symphony Orchestra as winner of the Nina Plant Wideman Competition.
Martin's compositions and arrangements span an impressive range of venues, from Carnegie Hall to church sanctuaries across North America. Though he maintains an active performance schedule, he has increasingly focused his talents on church music and conferences for worship musicians. He resides in Austin, Texas with his wife Sue and their children Jonathan and Aubrey.
