About the Composer: Randall Standridge

Randall Standridge earned his Bachelor's in Music Education from Arkansas State University, where he studied composition with Dr. Tom O'Connor. He returned to pursue his Master's in Music Composition at the same institution, continuing his studies with O'Connor and Dr. Tim Crist. In 2001, he took the position of Director of Bands at Harrisburg High School in Harrisburg, Arkansas, a role he held until 2013.

Since leaving the classroom, Standridge has established himself as a prolific full-time composer and marching arts designer whose works are published through Randall Standridge Music, Alfred Music, and FJH Music. His compositions have earned multiple selections to J.W. Pepper's editor's choice list, and three of his pieces appear in the "Teaching Music Through Performance in Band" series. His work has been performed at prestigious venues including the Midwest Clinic in Chicago and major conferences including CBDNA and the National LGBA conference. Beyond composition, Standridge owns Randall Standridge Music, LLC and serves as a sought-after drill designer, arranger, and colorguard designer for marching ensembles. He lives in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
