About the Composer: Lynne Cox

Lynne Cox brings four decades of music teaching experience to her compositions, having spent twenty years in public school music and twenty-five years teaching private piano students. A graduate of East Carolina University with degrees in both Piano Performance and Public School Music, she has maintained deep roots in the music education community through memberships in MTNA, state and regional music teacher associations, and service as a church musician for over four decades.

Her credentials include recognition as a State Finalist for the Sarah Belk Gambrell Award for Excellence in Public School Music and the 2005 Distinguished Alumni Award from East Carolina University's School of Music. She earned Fulbright Scholar status in 2007 and holds national certification from MTNA. Cox currently resides in New Bern, North Carolina with her family.
