Jared Barnes composes instrumental music that balances accessibility with genuine musical substance. Barnes has directed instrumental music programs in Iowa for over a decade, earning consistent Division I ratings at the IHSMA Large Group Festival and twice selecting his bands as the Class 1A High School Honor Band. He earned his degree in music education from Wartburg College and brings both compositional craft and classroom experience to his writing.
