About the Composer: Andy Beck

Andy Beck

Andy Beck directs choral publications at Alfred Music and has composed and arranged more than 450 choral works, vocal resources, and children's musicals for publication. His educational vocal resources, including Sing at First Sight, Foundations in Choral Sight Singing, and Vocalize! 45 Vocal Warm-Ups That Teach Technique, are widely adopted in classrooms and rehearsal rooms across the country. A trained tenor with degrees in music education from Ithaca College and Northwest Missouri State University, Beck remains active as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator for honor choirs and all-state groups.

Beyond his publishing work, Beck performs regularly with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir and directs musical theatre productions. His compositions and arrangements are performed by singers worldwide, and he has served as a commissioned composer and guest conductor for honor choirs spanning multiple age levels. Since 1992, he has also worked as a recording artist for Alfred Music, bringing professional vocal expertise to studio projects.
