His compositions and arrangements have been performed across North America, Europe, and beyond, appearing at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall and the Midwest Clinic, as well as on state and national contest lists. His grounding in music education, teaching at elementary, secondary, and community college levels, shows directly in how he constructs his pieces for young musicians.

Recognized as Secondary Teacher of the Year by the Enterprise City School System in Alabama and recipient of the Golden Apple Award, Grice brings a clinician's and adjudicator's perspective to his writing. He remains active as a guest conductor and clinician, working with concert bands and percussion ensembles to help directors and students discover what's possible at every level.
