About the Composer: Vicki Tucker Courtney
Vicki Tucker Courtney began piano study at age four and developed deep roots in choral music through her time at North Texas State University, where she focused on accompanying and furthering her classical training. Her prolific output as a composer and arranger spans choirs, piano, handbells, and solo voice; she has earned multiple ASCAP Plus Awards throughout her career and studied under the mentorship of Dove Award winner Mark Hayes. By 2009, Courtney had published 100 titles, a milestone she surpassed dramatically by reaching over 350 published works by 2017.
Throughout her career, Courtney has remained active both as a performer in traditional and contemporary worship settings and as a piano instructor and composition tutor. She currently writes full time and resides in Columbia, Tennessee.
