• Balance the alto line carefully in early rehearsals; it often carries harmonic weight that younger or less experienced singers might underestimate.
• Record a sectional rehearsal of just the SAB parts and have singers listen to it outside of rehearsal so they can internalize their own lines alongside the full texture.
• Isolate the moments where all three parts move in contrary motion and drill those explicitly, as they require more independence than unison or parallel passages.
