Starlight March: 1st Percussion

Commissioned for Tulsa, Oklahoma's professional Starlight Band, this bright and energetic concert march weaves a unique blend of traditional and contemporary harmonies into flowing melodic lines and dramatic countermelodies. Incorporating brief quotes of "star" themes—including "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" and "The Stars and Stripes Forever"—this creative work provides an excellent vehicle for teaching and promoting march style and technique, and will undoubtedly become a favorite of march-loving audiences.
