About the Composer: Catherine Rollin

Catherine Rollin

Catherine Rollin balances an active composing career with mentoring students who have earned recognition at prestigious competitions. Her work has been commissioned by major music education organizations including the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), the Michigan Music Teachers Association, and Clavier Companion magazine. Several of her compositions appear in the National Federation of Music Clubs Festivals Bulletin, and she has served as a national judge for both the MTNA Student Composition Competition and the Lynn Freeman Olson Composition Contest.

Rollin earned her Bachelor of Musical Arts degree with distinction from the University of Michigan and her Master of Music degree from Oakland University School of Performing Arts. Her multimedia series Museum Masterpieces (Books 1-4) won an ASCAP award and was featured at a 2018 Steinway Society concert. She has presented workshops and masterclasses across more than 200 cities in the United States, Canada, Japan, and Taiwan.
