About the Arranger: Timothy Loest
Timothy Loest brings three decades of classroom experience to every score he writes. A recipient of the Illinois Grade School Music Association's Cloyd Myers Memorial Award for Excellence in Music Education, he has established himself as a composer and arranger whose work reaches young musicians across the country and beyond. His compositions have been performed at venues ranging from Chicago's Millennium Park to television broadcasts including The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Good Morning America.
Loest's understanding of pedagogical priorities runs deep. He served his entire teaching career at F.E. Peacock Middle School in Illinois while simultaneously developing methods and arrangements that have become standards in band programs nationwide. His publications span multiple publishers including Warner Bros., C.L. Barnhouse, FJH Music Company, and MakeMusic Publications. In 2022, he founded Fanfare Music Press to continue producing high-quality compositions and arrangements designed for bands at all levels. He holds degrees from Illinois State University and Northwestern University and maintains active membership in ASCAP.
