About the Composer: Justin Williams
Justin Williams holds degrees in Political Science and History from Jacksonville State University, where he also pursued focused study in arranging and composition under William Jerryl Davis, Patrick Roszell, and Robert W. Smith. His work spans the full spectrum of American band music: he serves as staff arranger for the Belwin Division of Alfred Music and maintains active consultation roles with more than thirty high school band programs nationwide.
Williams' arrangements have appeared in major televised events including Rose Bowl Parade performances, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the Lord Mayor's New Year's Day Parade in London. He holds staff arranger positions with both Jacksonville State University's "Marching Southerners" and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's "Pride of Acadiana" Marching Band. When not composing and arranging, he teaches history and political science at Central Alabama Community College in Talladega.
