About the Composer: Catherine Rollin

Catherine Rollin has built a distinguished career bridging performance and pedagogy, earning her Bachelor of Musical Arts with distinction from the University of Michigan and her Master of Music from Oakland University School of Performing Arts. Her compositions have garnered commissions from Clavier Companion, the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), and the Michigan Music Teachers Association, with numerous works selected for the National Federation of Music Clubs Festivals Bulletin.

Rollin's influence extends across the continent through workshops and masterclasses presented in over 200 cities throughout the United States, Canada, Japan, and Taiwan. She has judged at the national level for the MTNA Student Composition Competition and served on the panel for the Lynn Freeman Olson Composition Contest. Her commissioned work Suite Detroit (a trio for flute, alto saxophone, and piano) premiered at the MTNA 2018 national conference, and her ASCAP award-winning Museum Masterpieces series was featured in a multimedia concert presentation by the Steinway Society.
