About the Composer: Richard L. Saucedo
Richard L. Saucedo spent 31 years as Director of Bands at Carmel High School in Indiana, building one of the nation's most consistently successful band programs. His ensembles earned state and national recognition across concert, jazz, and marching categories, with the Wind Symphony I appearing at the Music for All National Concert Band Festival three times and the Marching Greyhounds placing in the top ten at the Bands of America Grand National Championship for 17 consecutive years.
Saucedo was named Indiana's Bandmaster of the Year in 1998-99 and inducted into both the Music for All Hall of Fame and the Drum Corps International Hall of Fame. Beyond his teaching career, he has composed and arranged works for multiple ensembles and served as brass arranger for the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, contributing to five DCI world championships. He remains active as a Senior Educational Consultant for Music for All and an elected member of the American Bandmasters Association.
