About the Composer: Todd Stalter
Todd Stalter built a legendary band program at Eureka High School in Eureka, Illinois, where he served as Director of Bands for 34 years. His ensembles earned 16 Class 1A state marching championships, consistently superior ratings at Illinois High School Association contests, and invitations to perform at Orchestra Hall in Chicago and Walt Disney World. He was inducted into the Illinois State Marching Band Championships Hall of Fame and has guest conducted All-State bands in Georgia and Delaware, along with numerous regional honor ensembles.
As a composer and clinician, Stalter maintains an active presence in music education nationwide. His works for band and string orchestra appear on state contest and festival lists across the country and are featured in the educational series "Teaching Music Through Performance in Band" published by GIA. He holds degrees from Illinois State University in music education and trumpet performance, where he studied conducting with Dr. Stephen K. Steele and has presented seminars on composition, adjudication, and music education at state and regional conferences.
