Joseph M. Martin is a North Carolina native whose formal training spans piano performance at Furman University and advanced study at the University of Texas, Austin, where he also taught in the Piano Pedagogy Department. His concert career has taken him from solo recitals to featured performances with orchestras across the United States and Mexico, including a nationally broadcast recital and a competition win that led him to perform with the Guadalajara Symphony Orchestra.

These days, Martin channels his energy into church music and compositions heard everywhere from Carnegie Hall to intimate worship spaces across North America. His output spans an impressive range of styles and genres, and he continues to surprise listeners with the breadth of his creative voice. He lives in Austin, Texas with his family.
