Andy Beck

Andy Beck leads choral publications at Alfred Music, where he oversees a catalog of over 450 choral works, vocal resources, and musical theatre pieces. His influence extends across music education through widely-used vocal pedagogy resources including Sing at First Sight, Foundations in Choral Sight Singing, and Vocalize! 45 Vocal Warm-Ups That Teach Technique. A tenor himself, Beck has been an Alfred studio singer since 1992 and regularly performs with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir.

Beyond publishing, Beck maintains an active presence in the choral education field as a guest conductor, choreographer, clinician, and adjudicator in schools and festivals across the United States and internationally. He has served as commissioned composer and guest conductor for honor choirs and all-state ensembles throughout the Southeast. His credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Ithaca College and a Master's degree in Music Education from Northwest Missouri State University, grounding his work in both compositional skill and teaching pedagogy.
