About the Arranger: Todd Stalter

Todd Stalter built his reputation over 34 years as Director of Bands at Eureka High School in Illinois, where he developed a program of regional and national distinction. His marching band won 16 Class 1A state championships, his concert ensembles earned consistent Superior ratings at IHSA contests, and his groups performed at Orchestra Hall in Chicago and Walt Disney World. Beyond the high school podium, he has conducted All-State Bands in Georgia and Delaware, adjudicated extensively at state and regional levels, and presented clinics on conducting, composition, and music education across the Midwest.

Stalter's compositions and arrangements for band and string orchestra circulate widely in American music education. Many of his band works appear on state contest and festival lists, and several are featured in the GIA Publications series "Teaching Music Through Performance in Band." He earned his Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from Illinois State University, where he studied trumpet with Richard Lehman of the United States Marine Band and conducting with Dr. Stephen K. Steele. He is a member of the Illinois State Marching Band Championships Hall of Fame.
