About the Composer: Douglas E. Wagner

Douglas E. Wagner grew up in Chicago and earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees in music from Butler University. He spent three decades as a high school music educator and administrator before committing himself fully to composition in the 1970s.

Since 1973, Wagner has published more than 3,500 works across virtually every ensemble type: choirs (both school and church), concert bands, orchestras, handbells, organ, piano, and vocal soloists. His output has reached an estimated seventeen million copies worldwide, with performances documented in concert halls and broadcasts throughout the United States and internationally. He now lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Sandy.
