Scale Songs for Piano

Michael Katz insists that practicing scales can be fun -- he has created this material to prove that point. Available in either cassette tape or CD format, there is sound to back up the pianist who then willingly practices scale after scale. The 'combo' accompaniment for each major scale is recorded in three styles: swing, Latin and jazz waltz. The swing accompaniment is recorded first at a slow tempo and then at full speed. The book has the scales written in treble clef, showing fingering for both right and left hands. Each scale is written in quarter notes, then eighth notes, then triplets.
