This piece serves elementary pianists who have solid hand position, can manage pedal changes, and are ready to experiment with legato across hand positions. It rewards students who listen carefully to their own sound.

• Plan your pedal changes carefully in advance. Mark them lightly in the score so you aren't caught off guard by the one to two measure intervals.
• Shape the left hand crossovers to G with the same musical intention you'd bring to the melody. These moments shouldn't feel like technical interruptions.
• Practice the pianissimo ending separately at tempo. Young students often rush when dynamics get soft, so isolate this section and lock in the fade.

Include this in a recital program as a palate cleanser between livelier works, or program it alongside other character pieces that emphasize legato and pedal technique. It works particularly well as a closing piece for a student recital.
