About the Composer: Vince Gassi
Vince Gassi has been composing for Alfred Music since 2006, building a catalog of over 100 published works that balance musical substance with accessibility for young ensembles. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario and the Dick Grove School of Music, he later earned his Ph.D. from York University in Toronto. His compositions regularly appear on contest and festival schedules across North America, Europe, and Japan.
For more than two decades, Gassi has taught instrumental music at the elementary and secondary levels while maintaining an active schedule as a guest conductor, adjudicator, and clinician. His workshops on creative engagement and digital workflows for music directors reflect his commitment to both student learning and teacher development. He continues to receive commissions and frequently presents at major conferences including the Midwest Clinic.
