Robert Sheldon stands among the most frequently performed composers of wind band repertoire in the world. His works appear on state and national contest lists, in concert halls from Carnegie Hall to the Kennedy Center, and in rehearsal rooms across six continents. He has received recognition from the American School Band Director's Association, Phi Beta Mu, and the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

Beyond composing, Sheldon serves as lead author of Sound Innovations for Concert Band and maintains an active schedule as a guest conductor, clinician, and commissioning composer.
