Patti Drennan

Patti Drennan's three decades of choral directing in Oklahoma public schools established her reputation for building consistently superior ensembles. She earned degrees in music education from Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma, then spent 28 years at West Mid-High School and Norman High School, where her four choirs regularly achieved superior ratings at contests. In 2004, the Oklahoma Choral Directors Association honored her with the Director of Distinction Award.

Now retired from the classroom, Drennan has become one of the most prolific choral arrangers in America, with over 425 octavos published and more than two million copies in circulation. She maintains an active schedule as a clinician, workshop presenter, and composer for churches across the United States and Canada. Her work has been heard at Carnegie Hall, and she continues collaborating with her daughter, a musical theater performer in New York, while holding composer weekends and music reading sessions for publishers.
