Carl Strommen ranks among the most frequently performed composer-arrangers of our time, with his works regularly featured in concert halls, on television, and in film across the United States and internationally. His music spans band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and vocal settings, and he maintains an active schedule as both a clinician and commissioned composer, earning the annual ASCAP Standard Writers Award throughout his career.
Strommen holds a degree from the City College of New York and serves as an adjunct professor of orchestration and composition at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville, New York. He divides his time between Long Island and extended stays in the Denver and Boulder, Colorado areas with his family.
