Description
Isaac Albéniz (1860-1909) composed the original version of RAPSODIA ESPAÑOLA (Spanish Rhapsody) in D minor, Op. 70/T.16 for piano and orchestra in 1887. That version premiered on March 21, 1887, in Madrid with the Orquesta de la Sociedad de Conciertos, Albeniz at the piano and Tomás Bretón conducting. This version for piano solo was published in 1922, a little over a decade after the composer's death. Movements: 1. Introducción; 2. Petenera de Mariani; 3. Jota original; 4. Malagueña de Juan Breva; 5. Estudiantina. Reprint edition.
