About the Composer: Carl Strommen
Carl Strommen's catalog spans band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and choral music, establishing him as one of the most frequently performed composers and arrangers in North America and abroad. His work appears regularly in concert halls, broadcast media, and film scores, and he remains highly sought after as both a clinician and commission composer. His sustained output has earned him the ASCAP Standard Writers Award year after year.
Strommen studied composition at City College of New York and continues to shape the next generation of composers as an adjunct professor of orchestration and composition at Long Island University's C.W. Post Campus. He divides his time between Long Island and Colorado, where his family regularly gathers.
