Pulse: Drums Video

In the words of Akira: "Three years have gone by since my last work, Metamorphosis, and I've been spending the interim time toying with a variety of ideas which rather than try to explain, are better conveyed through the eyes and ears. As with my last work, this is less an instructional video than it is a performance video. The solos fully utilize the drum trigger system and with my long-time partner, Tetsuo Sakurai, on the bass, we've cut away all the fat for forty, lean, concentrated minutes of content that can be watched repeatedly. We also hope to show the potential and joy of playing the drums. Drums infuse music with life, maintaining a living beat. With that in mind, this video is called Pulse. I guarantee you'll enjoy it."
