About the Composer: Andy Beck
Andy Beck leads choral publication efforts at Alfred Music and has composed and arranged more than 450 choral works, vocal resources, and children's musicals that are performed by singers across the globe. Beyond his prolific output as a composer, he has developed widely used choral resources including Sing at First Sight, Foundations in Choral Sight Singing, and Vocalize! 45 Vocal Warm-Ups That Teach Technique.
Beck holds degrees in Music Education from Ithaca College and Northwest Missouri State University. He appears regularly as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator for school and honor choirs throughout the United States and beyond. A tenor vocalist himself, he has directed musical theatre, performed with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir, and served as an Alfred Music studio singer since 1992.
